An attractive flat plate of chert, the front scattered with beautiful brilliant red gemmy crystals of sphalerite. Several larger sphalerite crystals to 1.2 cm in size, these black and opaque, are present as well. These red crystals were known as Ruby Jack to the miners in this district. The specimen is in great condition. A very good example for this type of sphalerite from here.
