Sphalerite
specimen number:
8681030
location:
Picher Field, Tri-State district, Oklahoma, USA
description:
Classic old time specimen with dark reddish black crystals of sphalerite measuring to 3.0 cm in size across the top of this chert matrix. Slight damage present along the right edge of the piece as shown up close in the video, I think that the specimen is still in good condition and quite nice for this old classic. Metallic golden crystals of tiny chalcopyrite are scattered throughout.
