description:
An excellent old classic specimen with lustrous black crystals of sphalerite set up on a brecciated chert matrix, this matrix coated with microscopic sparkling colorless crystals of quartz. There are golden epitaxial chalcopyrite crystals upon the sphalerite. A separate generation of sphalerite is present, these smaller crystals but gemmy and red. In super condition. This would have been collected in the 1960s.
