description:
Classic old time piece from the tri-state District with large complex crystals of sphalerite 6.0 cm across standing up nicely from a brecciated matrix it's coated with colorless to slightly pinkish crystallized dolomite. Accented throughout with crystals of bright brassy marcasite to 0.5 cm and minor chalcopyrite. Very light micro-chipping present, this very minimal and overall the piece in very good condition. Previous label comes from the California Academy of Sciences.
