Sparkling micro crystals of sphalerite across the top of a sphalerite matrix with galena. The light colored areas that are seen are not damage, but is a different coloration within the sphalerite. This is sitting upon what is called a schalenblende matrix, which in this case is basically a banded massive sphalerite.
