A wonderful cabinet sized example for this famous mining district. Large lustrous twinned crystals of sphalerite measuring to 2.5 cm in size set nicely across the top of a crystallized galena matrix. There are some galena crystals measuring to 1.0 cm on edge. The sphalerite crystals are highly translucent and quite attractive when backlit. This is in really good condition.
