Classic old Central European specimen with green translucent to transparent crystals of sphalerite measuring to 1.5 cm in size rich across the front of this amethyst crystal matrix with minor galena. The sphalerite crystals exhibit twinning. This is the variety of sphalerite known as cleophane. The specimen is in good condition.
