The Qinglong Mine (often referred to as the Dachang antimony mine) in Qianxinan, Guizhou, China, has a history spanning more than a century of intensive exploitation for its massive antimony and associated mineral resources. Large-scale industrial and local mining operations flourished through the 20th century before the official state-managed mine closed around 2008 due to resource depletion and environmental consolidation, though legacy tailing sites and localized activities remain prominent. Geologically, the deposit is situated within the Southwestern Guizhou Depression of the Nanpanjiang Basin, hosted primarily in Permian to Triassic carbonate and fine clastic rock sequences. The mineralization is closely associated with regional fault structures, ancient hydrocarbon reservoirs, and the Emeishan basaltic volcanic rocks (specifically the local "Dachang Layer"), producing low-temperature hydrothermal replacement and stratabound ore bodies dominated by stibnite alongside quartz, fluorite, and pyrite.
