Lustrous crystal groupings of stilbite measuring to 1.2 cm in diameter on matrix. In great condition. Often times these are labeled as stellerite. To my knowledge this one has not been analyzed. It came to us labeled as stilbite.

The Sokolovskoe iron deposit, situated near Rudny in the Kostanay region of Kazakhstan, was discovered via magnetic anomalies in 1949, with large-scale industrial mining and processing operations officially commencing in the mid-1950s (around 1955 to 1957) and continuing active production today. Geologically, the deposit lies within the Turgai iron ore province of the Carboniferous Valerianovskoe arc, hosted primarily by folded marine carbonate and volcanic sequences of the Sokolovsk Group. The ore bodies consist of massive, stratabound magnetite lenses and extensive disseminated skarn-replacement zones formed through high-temperature hydrothermal activity and intense metasomatism driven by nearby gabbro-diorite-granodiorite intrusions, accompanied by secondary martitization and accessory sulfides.
