The Daly-Judge Mine, located in the Park City District of Summit County, Utah, was a major producer of silver, lead, and zinc within the Wasatch Mountain Range. Geologically, the deposit consists of complex replacement ore bodies and fissure veins hosted within the Pennsylvanian-Permian Weber Quartzite and the Mississippian-aged carbonate sequences. These ores were formed by hydrothermal solutions related to the intrusion of Tertiary-aged igneous stocks, resulting in rich concentrations of galena, sphalerite, and tetrahedrite. Historically, the mine was formed in 1901 through the consolidation of the Daly West and Anchor properties by John Judge and his partners. It operated extensively through the early to mid-20th century, becoming a cornerstone of the Park City economy and utilizing advanced deep-level drainage systems like the Judge Tunnel. Production continued under various corporate mergers until the mid-1950s, after which the focus in the district shifted toward recreation and tourism. The mine is still remembered by mineral collectors for its sharp galena cubes and historically significant output during the peak of Utah's silver boom.
