Rich pink masses of titanite, the variety known as greenovite, occur throughout this matrix with abundant piemontite and braunite. This variety is pink in color due to the presence of manganese. It was first described in 1839. This example comes with an antique label as shown at the end of the video and dates to the 19th century. The label notes that at one time the specimen was part of the collection of Colonel John Wilson Rimington. He was a notable collector in Great Britain, born in 1832 and passing away in 1909.
