Camperio, a small village located in the Blenio Valley of Canton Ticino, Switzerland, is part of an alpine region renowned among mineral collectors for its classic cleft-hosted mineral occurrences. Geologically, the area is situated within the Penninic basement of the central Alps, where intense regional metamorphism and hydrothermal activity during the Alpine orogeny created numerous fissures and clefts in gneisses and schists.
