Interesting combination piece, amber colored lustrous and gemmy crystals of fluorite to 1.5 cm in size or hosting green platy crystals of torbernite. In excellent condition. The torbernite crystals are platy and measure to 0.3 cm in size.

The Kaffenberg area, located near Rittersgrün and Breitenbrunn in the western Ore Mountains of Saxony, Germany, is situated within the complex metamorphic and intrusive terrain of the Schwarzenberg dome. Historically, the region experienced centuries of mining activity targeting various metal deposits, which intensified significantly during the mid-twentieth century under uranium prospecting and extraction operations. Geologically, the local sequence comprises a diverse mix of gneisses, mica schists, skarns, and marbles cut by hydrothermal vein systems. These settings facilitated the circulation of mineralizing fluids, producing secondary uranium and phosphate minerals such as metatorbernite and metazeunerite within the weathered zones and fracture fillings.
