description: The Puzzler Mine in La Paz County, Arizona, is a historic lead mining locality in the Plomosa Mountains that was worked during the early 20th century. The deposit occurs in oxidized lead bearing veins in volcanic rocks and produced a variety of secondary minerals. The mine is well known among collectors for vanadinite, which occurs as bright hexagonal crystals formed in the oxidized zones of the ore.
Lustrous crystals of vanadinite measuring to 0.5 cm in size across one side of this breccia matrix. In good condition.
