Sparkling purple micro crystalline and massive vesuvianite across the top of matrix. Interesting historical specimen that comes with an old label dating this piece to the early 20th century. Note the $7.50 price tag on this from over 110 years ago. That was a lot of money for mineral specimen at that time. Originally acquired from the American dealer Lazard Cahn in 1914.
