Geologically, the deposit is situated within the crystalline basement and fracture networks of the Beaujolais mountains region, consisting of hydrothermal vein systems cutting through Paleozoic basement rocks. These veins host quartz, fluorite, and baryte, alongside associated sulfide mineralization such as galena, which has led to a rich suite of secondary minerals including mimetite, wulfenite, and rare species like oberwolfachite.
