The Two-Hug Quarry, located near Corvallis in Benton County, Oregon, is a notable Pacific Northwest mineral locality famous for its aesthetic zeolite specimens. Geologically, the quarry is situated within the Eocene-aged Siletz River Volcanics, a thick sequence of basaltic pillow lavas and breccias. The mineralization occurred as late-stage hydrothermal fluids filled vesicles and fractures in the basalt, depositing a variety of minerals including heulandite, mordenite, analcime, and exceptionally sharp, white to translucent crystals of clinoptilolite. Historically, the site was operated as a small-scale road metal quarry during the mid-20th century, providing crushed rock for local forestry and infrastructure projects. While it was never a major industrial producer, it gained significant fame among regional collectors in the 1970s and 1980s for the quality and abundance of its micromounts and cabinet-sized specimens. Today, the quarry is largely inactive and reclaimed by vegetation, but it remains a classic reference locality for the mineralogy of the Oregon Coast Range.
