A beautiful specimen from this famous locality with lustrous deep blue terminated crystals of azurite measuring to 2.5 cm in height coming off of a matrix covered by green crystallized bayldonite replacing previous prismatic crystals of mimetite. Minor malachite is present as well. The specimen comes with an antique label dating this to the very early 20th century. This must have been collected not long after underground mining began at this famous locality. In really good condition.
