description: Spectacular old classic specimen with large lustrous bladed crystals of azurite measuring to 7.5 cm light across the top of this brecciated matrix with green malachite. The specimen is in super condition. The piece has to date to the early days of this famous locality. The specimen comes with a previous label from the US National Museum, ex Washington A Roebling collection. The label notes that at one time this was part of the collection Friedrich Wilhelm Kegel, the director of mining operations at Tsumeb from 1924 -1933.
