Very unique locality piece with a cluster of tabular barite crystals in very fine condition. I have not often seen barite available from this mining district in the upper Mississippi Valley. I am told that years ago a large in good collection in Hanover was present and sold off. It is likely that the specimen came from this collection, thus the locality designation, but the specimen is actually from of the mines around galena.
