While I have seen countless thousands of barite specimens from Washington County, Missouri, I have never come across any that were blue in color. This one is from the an old collection, the matrix is definitely Potosi formation. The top covered with blue translucent semi lustrous bladed crystals of barite to 2.5 cm in size. Very slight micro-chipping present but still in very good condition.
