I think this in absolute wonderful specimen, I've never seen anything quite this good for the species from this locality. A large scalenohedral crystal of calcite 16.0 x 11.0 x 8.5 cm in size is completely covered on all sides with creamy colorless bladed crystals of barite to 1.2 cm in size. Complete all-around with extremely minimal micro-chipping present, overall I think in very good condition. The barite crystal show a good pearly luster. I think exceptional for any suite of Midwest minerals. Shipping weight: 3.76 pounds.
