Barite-with-Malachite
specimen number:
1502318
location:
Shangulowe Mine, Kambove, Katanga, Democratic Republic of Congo
description: Beautiful combination specimen showing gemmy glassy green crystals of barite measuring to 4.0 cm in length scattered beautifully throughout a 16.0 x 8.0 x 8.0 cm malachite crystal coated matrix. This is in very fine condition with only the most minimal of micro-chipping present in several nondescript areas. From material collected in the late 1990s these kind of came and went from the market very quickly. This is a very good one. Sits beautifully by itself for display on a minimally sawn base. Ex Renaud Vochten collection.
Size: 16.0 x 8.0 x 8.0 cm (large-cabinet)
