description:
Good specimens of barite were never common in Butte. This is a very early example and really quite fine with brownish lustrous caramel colored crystals to 0.7 cm in size very rich across the top of this matrix. Associated with pyrite, quartz, bornite in chalcopyrite, this in very good condition.
