Barite with Quartz (1635)
specimen number:
8811413
location:
Juanita mine, Socorro Co., New Mexico, USA
description:
An outstanding example from this New Mexico locality, lustrous chocolate brown bladed crystals of barite and groupings to 4.0 cm in size are perched aesthetically up on quartz. This is in really good condition. At one time the specimen was part of the collection of Jim and Dawn Minette and the specimen comes with a previous labels and data card. About as good as I have seen from this locality in this size range.
