description:
From recent finds at this quarry north of Potosi, an excellent combination piece for the locality showing a double terminated grouping of white barite crystals 9.5 cm in length perched at the top of a quartz crystal covered matrix. The quartz are in turn coated with micro marcasite crystals, hemispherical shaped crystal groupings of lustrous black sphalerite to 1.4 cm across are scattered over this. Measures 14.0 x 6.5 x 4.0 cm in size. Very minimal chipping at the top termination of the barite, the showing mainly from the backside of the piece. For one of these at this locality, this is an outstanding condition. Shipping weight: 1.01 pounds.
