Bismuth

specimen number:
2451029

location:
Ciclova, Banat Mts, Caras-Severin Co., Romania

description:

Very neat example showing large inter-grown crystals of native bismuth forming a 6.5 x 6.0 x 3.5 cm grouping. This sits perfectly by itself for display. Very unique locality example as well, coming with an old label. The label places the specimen in Hungary, however the locality translates now to this large copper molybdenum deposit in present-day Romania. I think a very rare example from the locality, still exceptionally high quality for the mineral. Ex Jordi Povill collection.

Size: 6.5 x 6.0 x 3.0 cm (small-cabinet)

Collection: Jordi Povill
