description: A beautiful grouping of water clear colorless prismatic calcite crystals without matrix. The crystals are in a parallel grouping and sharply terminated. The luster and transparency is excellent. Measures 9.5 x 4.4 x 3.5 cm in size overall and is pretty much complete all around. To my naked eye this is very clean of damage; with a 10x loupe I can find just very minimal and tiny chipping on some edges. Considering the age and softness of the piece, I think it in excellent shape damage-wise. A very fine and choice British classic! Ex Dawn and Jim Minette collection #WW071 with data card noting that the received this as a gift from noted mineralogist Paul Moore at the University of Chicago.
