Calcite (twin)
specimen number:
8011012
location:
Irving Materials Quarry, Anderson, Madison Co., Indiana, USA
description: These calcite twins from this locality are well-known. Most were collected during the 1970s. While the quality on these usually is very good, most are under 4 cm in size. This one is a monster. It measures 6.5 x 6.0 x 4.0 cm in size. Very little limestone matrix attached on the bottom, this shows well all around and is an outstanding condition. A real top Midwestern classic. Ex Lloyd Tate collection.
Size: 6.5 x 6.0 x 4.0 cm (small-cabinet)
Collection: Lloyd Tate
