Calcite with Fluorite, Sphalerite
specimen number:
2022746
location:
Elmwood Mine, Smith Co., Tennessee, USA
description:
Gorgeous glassy partly gemmy amber colored scalenohedral crystals of calcite sandwiched between two groupings of lustrous black sphalerite crystals. Purple fluorite measuring to 4.0 cm are present as well. Some chipping present is seen, still I think in good condition. This sits up nicely by itself for display, in fact, could display from several different directions. Great color contrast, this is quite attractive. Measures 16.5 x 15.0 x 10.0 cm. Shipping weight: 6.42 pounds. Ex Chris & Agatha Galas collection.
Size: 16.5 x 15.0 x 10.0 cm (large-cabinet)
