Calcite with Sphalerite
specimen number:
1352095
location:
Elmwood mine, Smith Co., Tennessee, USA
description: Beautiful glassy gemmy amber colored double terminated crystals of calcite measuring to 11.5 cm in length set aesthetically up on a lustrous black sphalerite crystal matrix. I am told that the specimen has one tiny area of restoration on one of the terminations; a UV light does show a minute area that is likely the restoration. The crystals are beautifully fluorescent under longwave ultraviolet light. The specimen comes with a custom acrylic display base.
Size: 13.0 x 13.0 x 7.0 cm (cabinet)
