description:
Amber colored glassy gemmy scalenohedral crystal of calcite measuring 7.0 x 6.0 x 2.5 cm standing up straight from a limestone matrix. Very minimal sphalerite present as well. Micro-chipping is present near the termination, some cleaving to a minor secondary crystal on the backside as seen. One internal fracture present as well, this not to the surface however. Very aesthetic with great color, luster, and transparency. From material collected in the late 1990s. Shipping weight: 0.59 pounds. Ex Chris and Agatha Galas collection.
