Classic gemmy orange crystals of creedite to 1.0 cm in size coming off matrix. Some damage is present on what I would consider to be the bottom of the specimen, all of the prominent crystals are in great condition as seen.

The Navidad Mine, located in the Inde Municipality of Durango, Mexico (frequently associated historically with nearby districts like Rodeo and Abasolo), gained widespread recognition in the mineralogical community during the late 20th and early 21st centuries primarily for producing world-class crystal specimens. Geologically, the deposit is characterized by hydrothermal activity within the volcanic and sedimentary sequences of the Sierra Madre Occidental, where mineral-rich solutions filled open cavities in brecciated fluorite veins. This unique environment allowed for the formation of rare secondary minerals, most notably highly transparent, radiating orange crystal clusters of creedite. While small-scale or intermittent prospect mining targeted the fluorite and associated structures over the decades, the site is chiefly preserved today as a locality for collector mineralogy rather than active industrial bulk extraction, with exact opening and closing dates for its small historical workings remaining largely unrecorded in formal corporate mining timelines.
