Dolomite after Barite
specimen number:
1392014
location:
Montreal mine, Iron Co., Wisconsin, USA
description:
An unusual and very neat cast of crystallized dolomite after now gone tabular barite crystals. In super condition all around. The specimen was figured in the magazine The Mineralogical Record in May, June, 2020, on page 440, figure 56. This was also on display at the Denver, 1997 show. Unusual for sure, I can't imagine ever seen another one of these available from this locality.
