Elbaite (fake/repair?)

description:
A glassy gem crystal of elbaite 1.2 cm in height coming off of a pegmatite matrix. This crystal has been glued onto the matrix. It is possible that this is a repair, but if I had to guess, I am guessing that it is a fake. Still very nice antique specimen that comes with an old label. This dates to the very early 20th century.
