Joe Larkin's Quarry, located in County Galway, Ireland, is a well known locality among mineral collectors, particularly for its fluorite specimens found within a granite host rock. The quarry was worked for dimension stone, and mineralized cavities within the granite produced attractive fluorite crystals. Fluorite from this locality commonly occurs as cubic crystals, often showing pale green to purple coloration and sometimes exhibiting color zoning.
