Attractive mostly gemmy green cubic crystals of fluorite to 1.5 cm on edge across the front of matrix with non-lustrous octahedral crystals of galena. This is in good condition with very minimal micro-damage present. Brightly fluorescent.

The Rogerley Mine, located within the Frosterley area of Weardale in County Durham, England, is unique for being the first mine in the North Pennines operated specifically for mineral specimens rather than industrial ore. Geologically, the mine is situated in an abandoned limestone quarry that exposes the Mississippian-aged Great Limestone. The mineralization consists of hydrothermal vein and replacement deposits where fluorine-rich fluids reacted with the limestone to form the Green-eyed Monster and other famous pockets. The site is world-renowned for its emerald-green fluorite crystals which exhibit intense daylight fluorescence, turning a vivid blue under natural ultraviolet light. Historically, while the quarrying of limestone in the area dates back much further, the Rogerley Mine was specifically reopened for specimen mining in the early 1970s by local collectors. From 1999 until its closure in the late 2010s, it was operated by UK Mining Ventures, which extracted some of the finest green fluorite specimens ever found in the United Kingdom.
