Goethite-after-Gypsum with Adamite
specimen number:
4301032
location:
Ojuela mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
description:
Very large cast of crystalline reddish-brown goethite after a prismatic gypsum crystal. Small crystals of adamite are scattered throughout. Interesting specimen, previous label refers to this as replacing legrandite, but I can hardly believe that.
