Goethite after Pyrite

description:
Impressive example for this pseudomorph from this Alaska locality. Cubic crystals of what were once pyrite measuring to 3.0 cm on edge, these now replaced by lustrous brown goethite, forming a large matrix less cluster. This is in really good condition. There are no points of attachment. An old specimen likely from the 1960s.
