Gold
specimen number:
1504778
location:
Ballarat, Victoria, Australia
description:
Interesting rounded pieces of native gold to 0.2 cm in size scattered throughout the top side of this 12.5 x 9.0 x 4.0 cm conglomerate matrix. Interesting for the matrix, there is a notation on the back of the previous data card noting the Paris exposition of 1867. I am assuming that this means the specimen supposedly was displayed at this exposition? Nonetheless, I think different and quite nice. Shipping weight: 1.98 pounds. Ex Renaud Vochten collection.
Size: 12.5 x 9.0 x 4.0 cm (cabinet)
Collection: Renaud Vochten
