description: Bright nicely crystallized native gold extremely rich scattered throughout the front side of a 7.5 x 7.0 x 4.0 cm crystalline white quartz matrix. Minor pyrite present as well. This sits beautifully by itself for display. Very choice example for gold from this area. While Transylvania is justly famous for its find gold specimens, the mines of Maramures never produced a lot of good examples. Shipping weight: 0.31 pounds. Ex Jordi Povill collection.
