An unusual and quite rare pseudomorph specimen from this famous old locality. Crystals of what were once likely barite measuring to 1.0 cm in size are coming off matrix and replaced by hematite. This is in really good condition. Specimens like this from this locality are rarely if ever seen available on the market today. The specimen at one time was part of the collection of John Brottlund. Mr. Brottlund worked at the mine and was responsible for the large majority of specimens that were recovered from the crusher. This locality closed in 1963. The specimen is figured in The Mineralogical Record, May, June, 2020, page 442, figure number 62. This was on public display at the Cincinnati, 1993 and 2002 shows, as well as the Denver, 1997 show.
