An excellent specimen featuring colorless, blocky crystals of hydroxylherderite measuring up to 2.8 cm on matrix, showing sharp form. The crystals are well developed and quite impressive for the species from this classic locality, as large well formed examples from Poland, Maine are uncommon and highly sought after. The specimen is in good condition and presents very well for the species and locality. It is accompanied by an antique label dating to the early 20th century, as shown at the end of the video, adding strong historical provenance and collector appeal. Poland, Maine is a noted pegmatite locality in Oxford County, long recognized for producing phosphate minerals including herderite group species from complex granite pegmatites, making this a desirable and historic example from one of New England's classic mineral districts.
