Metauranocircite

specimen number:
1052082

location:
Lawrence Co., South Dakota, USA

description:

Rare metauranocircite specimen from the Davier Mine, Lawrence County, South Dakota. This secondary uranium mineral displays vivid yellow-green coloration with platy crystalline habit on matrix. Sourced from a classic U.S. locality known for scarce uranium species, this piece offers both aesthetic appeal and mineralogical significance. An excellent addition for advanced collectors of rare, radioactive, or fluorescent minerals. The specimen comes with an antique label as shown at the end of the video. The specimen dates to the early 20th century.  Note that the label incorrectly identifies the species as autunite.
