description: Beautiful deep red highly translucent to almost transparent glassy rhombohedral crystal cluster of rhodochrosite set up on a quartz crystal matrix. This is complete all-around and in outstanding condition. Metallic crystals of what appear to be galena are present upon the matrix as well. An absolute superb thumbnail example measuring 3.0 x 2.5 x 2.0 cm in size.
