description: A very glassy highly translucent gorgeous red rhodochrosite example with rhombohedral crystals measuring to 2.2 cm across upon a perfectly proportioned 6.0 x 4.0 x 4.0 cm matrix. Small crystals of quartz, galena, tetrahedrite, and pyrite are scattered throughout. The quality is outstanding, there is no damage or chipping. Sits perfectly by itself for display. The color is very saturated and quite beautiful. Classic Sweet Home mine rhodochrosite specimen.
