Classic brown translucent rhombohedral crystals of siderite to 0.5 cm in size thick over the top of this 12.0 x 11.0 x 7.0 cm crystallized quartz matrix. Superb old-time piece with an old A.E. Foote label glued to the backside. Also interestingly a price of $7.50, a lot of money at the beginning of the 20th century for a mineral specimen. In very good condition with minimal chipping along the edges, I think a wonderful hand sized display quality example for this old Cornish classic. Ex Ed Raines collection.
