Deep red slightly translucent crystals of sphalerite, one quite large and almost 3.0 cm in size, across the top of matrix. Minimal micro-damage present, this still very nice. The smaller crystals exhibit very good translucency and have a nice red color. In the mining district this would have been known as Ruby Jack sphalerite.
