Lustrous black crystals of sphalerite to 0.7 cm in size across the top of this matrix with quartz. Chipping is present, this mainly confined to the edges of the piece. An old label on the back of the specimen dates this piece to 1960. The sphalerite crystals do exhibit twinning.
