The top side of this 12.0 x 9.0 x 3.0 cm matrix is covered by radiating sprays of deep blue green to almost black vivianite crystals. In very good condition as seen. Previous label calls this kertschenite, a species more likely an alteration of vivianite. Recent studies have shown this material to be mostly an intergrowth of vivianite and metavivianite. I have chosen to label it as vivianite as no exact analysis has been done. Shipping weight: 1.07 pounds. Ex Renaud Vochten collection.
